For the Love of Javascript

Filed under: Technology — Cory @ 12:45 am

I’ll admit it: I really enjoy writing Javascript.

I’ve recently had to write some Javascript for one of my projects and it reminded me how much I like working with the language. Browser compatibility issues aside, writing Javascript can be a lot of fun. I have been using it for about 6 years now, and over the course of time I have written some seriously complicated JS, but it always seems to be enjoyable. Oh, and my favorite? Dynamically generated Javascript, ohhhh yeaaahh….

There, I said it.

  1. Ok I’m not going to disagree – Javascript can be really nice – if you take the time to treat it as an actual language instead of just parroting Perl/PHP.

As for the dynamically generated variety – I still think it ends up being a force of evil more than it is a force of good!

  2. Cory… I always wondered about you… you know… if you were harboring some secret preference.

    Language preference that is.

I’m right there with you dude… I heart JavaScript.

I just despise web development, that’s all. ;)
